Equipment:
As well as the equipment included in the kit you will need:
- Blender - most of the recipes require a blender, which is needed in order to get the sauce down to a smooth consistency.
- A few common kitchen items - mixing bowl, saucepan, funnel
- Bottles or jars with a capacity of 250-350ml (depending on the recipe)
Ingredients:
Each of the recipes also requires a few fresh ingredients (please note that the list below is just the fresh ingredients required per kit and not the full list of ingredients):
Aji Amarillo
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1⁄2 cup (120ml) mayonnaise
- 1 garlic clove chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1⁄4 cup (60ml) sour cream
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Piri Piri
- 1 red bell pepper chopped
- 1 ripe large tomato chopped
- 4 tsp olive oil
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tsp sugar
- One stem of basil chopped
Mango Habanero
- 1 fresh mango peeled and chopped
- 1⁄2 small white onion chopped
- 2 garlic cloves chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 5 tsp white sugar
Garlic Sriracha
- 8 cloves of garlic chopped
- 3 tsp salt
- 50g (3 tbsp) white sugar
Louisiana Hot
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
Smoky Chipotle
- 1⁄2 tin (200g) of chopped tomatoes
- 6 cloves of garlic chopped
- 1⁄4 cup (60ml) brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
West African Pepper Sauce
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 ripe tomatoes chopped
- 20 g ginger chopped
- 1 clove of garlic chopped
- 1⁄2 tsp salt
- 1⁄4 cup (60ml) cooking oil
