Making a Yeast Starter will give your yeast extra help during the fermentation process.
- Empty your yeast sachet into 50ml of warm water and leave to sit for five minutes. This will start re-hydrating the yeast.
- Dissolve 1 tsp of sugar into 75ml of warm water and add to the rehydrated yeast liquid.
- Cover the recipient and leave the starter to sir in a dark warm place for at least three hours. During this time, the water should become cloudy, and foam should start gathering at the top.
